I don’t usually do Friday Favorites posts, but I’ve just come across too many things lately that I’m LOVING, so feel compelled to share my new-found loves with the world. You’re welcome.
1. Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter. I’m sure this probably isn’t new to the rest of the world, but for those of us who are a solid two hours from the nearest TJ’s, it just may be. I grabbed some while I was in TJ’s in Colorado last month and I was pretty sure I’d died and gone to Heaven. It reminded me of Teddy Grahams that I so dearly loved as a child.
2. Pet Naturals of Vermont Calming for Cats. Okay, this one may not be relevant to most of my readers, but for anyone who has a cat that HATES to ride in a car as much as mine does, this will be a life-saver. (They have a dog version, too, but I’ve never had any reason to try it.) Any time we have to take C.C. to the vet, it’s a solid 10 minutes of wailing and howling and screaming on the ride there. It’s not good for her to be so stressed at nearly 16 years old, and it’s not great for my nerves either! Then I found this.
It’s AMAZING. I gave it to her before the hour and a half drive to my parents’ house when they kept her while we were out of town last month. She was one cool kitty but not drugged, ya know? Calm but alert. I was even able to unzip her cat carrier so she could poke her head out. That would have NEVER happened before. I wish I’d found this stuff years ago. Total game changer for us.
3. Black-ish. Freaking hilarious. The best thing to happen to prime time since Modern Family.
4. Starbucks Cinnamon Chai Soy Latte. Yes it has a lot of sugar, and no I don’t know that it’s 100% vegan even when made with soy milk, but hot damn this is some good stuff.
5. Blackberry Patch blueberry syrup. I found this in the gourmet foods section of a TJ Maxx for $2.99, so I had to try it. I made pancakes with it last weekend and HELLLOOOOOOO! IHOP ain’t got nothin’ on me.
So do tell! What are YOU loving these days?
We don’t have Trader Joe’s either but I would be in serious trouble if we did. I have no doubt I would love the Cookie Butter because I have a thing for gingerbread. I wait like a giddy child for Starbucks to serve their gingerbread latte during the holidays. And then, I keep asking for it long after it’s over…until they run out of syrup.

The hummus is what would be my weakness if I had a TJ near me. I could eat their jalapeño cilantro hummus by the bucket.

I haven’t bought the cookie butter from Trader Joe’s because of how good I have been told it is. My willpower is not that good and my waistline does not need that! Also, I need to start watching Blackish. I’ve had a few people recommend it now!

Is the cookie butter vegan now?! It wasn’t at our TJ’s the last time I looked. We use Biscoff spread, instead 🙂
Those cat treats sound like a brilliant idea!

The label just says “may contain traces” of milk or eggs. Which most of the time I believe that means it’s processed in the same facility as products that do contain those things and they put that label on there to cover their asses in case of an allergy or something. It’s good enough for me.

I just realized the replies I tried to send from my phone didn’t go through! Third time’s a charm… I’ve recently discovered the wonders of EOs myself! Glad you love your Fitbit. I’ve been really curious about those. My friend got a Garmin Vivofit and loves it!

Yay, it worked this time! 🙂 And that’s awesome you’re into oils — It’s definitely something I’m passionate about. I wrote about it recently here [https://jennsadventures.wordpress.com/what-are-essential-oils/] ~ It’s super long, but check it out whenever you have time!!
I totally considered the Garmin (I have an OLD one) but I didn’t want to deal with the HR strap! I’m sure it’s probably way more accurate, but we’ll see how it goes with fitbit — I’m able to return at anytime, which is awwwwwwesome! 🙂

I had Speculoos in Belgium many years ago which is where it originated from I believe. I’ve never had the American version from TJs. Thanks for the tip on the cat chews! My cats used to be rely bad in the car. They’ve gotten a bit better since they’ve gotten older but it still causes them anxiety. Def going to try these!!

They’re amazing! That was the first time I’d tried them, but I learned on Thursday that it wasn’t a fluke. We left town Friday, so Thursday I had to take my cat back to my parents’ place. The first time, the two I gave her wore off after about an hour. The packaging said that you could safely double or triple the daily dose of one chew for highly stressful situations, so I gave her three before we left that time. PERFECT. Lasted her the entire hour and a half ride. And I love that she’s so alert with them so I don’t feel like I’m doping her up, ya know?
